The convenience fee is an additional fee that the end-user pays which can be layered on top of the standard transaction fee.
This fee is set and controlled by the operator/owner of the machine and is configured through ShineInsights.
For example, if your standard wash is $2.00 you could set an additional convenience fee of $1.25. Your customer would then see the following charges when scanning a machine:
With the above scenario, $3.25 minus the ShinePay transaction fee would then be deposited into your account. This configuration allows an operator/owner to charge their customers an additional convenience fee on top of the cost of the machine use.
